🔗 Share this article BF6 Gamers Agree: Tasks Are Way Too Hard The release of the much-awaited Battlefield 6 was met with widespread acclaim, especially for its premier multiplayer mode. Exclusively on Steam, simultaneous player numbers surged to nearly 750,000. Yet, in spite of its success, an increasing amount of players are voicing discontent with a portion of the release's toughest challenges, which are mandatory to obtain particular firearms. Players have started turning to custom matches set up using the Portal feature to finish these tasks, highlighting just how arduous these assignments have become. Grasping Battlefield 6 Objectives Tasks represent Battlefield 6's permanent multiplayer tasks, as opposed to the regularly refreshed daily and weekly challenges. There are four classes of assignments, but where most merely grant skins and a few gadgets, achieving the firearm tasks is the sole method of getting twelve from the forty-one main guns found within the game. Several of these restricted firearms might eventually earn a place on lists of the best guns in Battlefield 6. Community Frustration via Reddit Over on Reddit, players are reasonably voicing their concerns about how hard and tedious a number of these challenges are. One user highlighted one of the most egregious examples, mandatory for acquiring the KTS100 MK8 LMG: Neutralize 300 foes with LMGs Cause 10,000 non-ADS damage with LMGs "This mission is so awful and totally unreasonable, I want to gouge my eyes out," is a quote that summarizes just how excessively challenging these tasks are. The suppression mechanic in Battlefield is weaker than it's ever been in the series, so it has significantly fewer advantages in battle as it used to in previous games. It only registers as suppression if you fire a burst without hitting the target. Additionally, firing an LMG without aiming is highly imprecise and is effective only at very short distances, which is not usually a position you want to be. The same user also pointed out the paradox in the SMG challenge, to unlock the SCW-10, which requires kills while aiming down the sights, when that task would be considerably more fitting to hipfire kills, and conversely. Another Extremely Difficult Mission One more community participant pointed out a further incredibly demanding challenge, now in the long-range weapon type to access the PSR: Get 150 headshot kills beyond 200 meters with long-range weapons This is challenging enough by itself, but there's another important point to consider: the majority of Battlefield 6 maps do not even allow combat at those extended distances. There exists a reasonable assortment of map sizes, but because there are just nine levels in the game currently, it restricts you to playing one of the larger locales, another expansive area, and possibly an additional option at a push if you aim to take long-range shots from over 200m away. The Alternative Method However, there is a solution: the custom game tool. This portal feature is a tool that allows you to make custom game modes on whatever map you choose, featuring computer-controlled players. This implies you can cheese the system… but it isn't truly in line with the developer's vision. Yet, if completing the missions in a proper game feels like anti-playing, since you must engage in such an unconventional way that doesn't benefit you or your team, who can fault a player for grinding them out in a personal session so squad members are not disadvantaged? Upcoming Tweaks It won't come as a surprise if several of these tasks are toned down in the next few updates, because unless they are modified, a portion of the user base simply are unlikely to obtain the gated weapons. Currently, the community continues to share their thoughts on these strenuous multiplayer missions, hoping for a fairer gaming experience in subsequent patches.
